The Baan Suan Mok infrastructure consists of: slightly raised land; grassed open waterways for surface run-off; well-engineered and highly effective grey-water soakaway systems; privately-owned 160 KVA 3-phase electricity transformer; 107 metre-deep artesian well with automatic pump and header tank feeding domestic tanks; telephone/ADSL lines installed and ready for start-up; all cabling and piping underground; private cul-de-sac entrance and driveway 6m wide and 50m long. |
To ensure a reliable supply and to get all cabling underground, we installed our own 3-phase 160 KVA transformer. |
Distribution of power and telephone lines underground, covered in 3 inches of concrete for safety. Power cables are 4*16 NYY double insulated for underground installation. |

Our grassed, open waterways worked splendidly while we were drilling the well. Surface water runs quickly off the land, helping our grey-water soakaways to function well. |
The first stream of water from the well was milky - full of drilling debris. Now, our water is clear and only slightly hard, drawn from a depth of 107 metres, the last 60 of which is granite. |
At the well-head, water is stored in this 1500 litre header tank. Water syphons from here to the storage tanks at each house. |
Our grey-water soakaway systems are of the leach-field type. Size, length and depth is determined by the soil and terrain conditions in the context of the property being drained. |
Telephone/ADSL lines and numbers are already installed and led in conduits underground to each plot. |
