 We build our houses with the so-called "big cavity block", a 14cm thick concrete brick with 70% internal cavity space, producing a very sturdy wall with excellent insulation properties. It keeps the heat out and the cool in. The roof is a very high-spec, very stylish (and expensive!) Thai style diamond-shaped shingle tile in terracotta color. Insulation is provided by aluminium foil on the upperside of the plasterboard ceilings, and the roof space is ventilated to draw the hot air upwards and away. All woodwork is either teak or teak-finished hardwood used for doors and windows, fitted cabinetry it the kitchens and bathrooms and for skirting boards and architraves. 3-phase electricity systems provide plenty power for everything, including air-conditioning in every room and 3 powerful instant water heaters of German quality. Fresh water is provided by our own 100-metre deep artesian well and stored in a large underground water tank for each house and fed inside by a powerful pump for constant good pressure.

  Layout
 We have five plots at Baan Suan Mok. We live and work from the orginal cottage prototype on plot #1. Plots #2, #3 and #4 are all 500 m², perfect for the cottage with carport and swimming pool, and plot #5, measuring 988 m², can accomodate a much larger house which we have designed and called the "Jasmin Villa".
